Parting out Tascam 38... get yer spares/replacements!

Post by Theo_Karon » Wed Jun 09, 2010 3:19 am

So, I'm parting out a dysfunctional 38 as I have no real inclination to repair it. I won't be able to ship anything for a couple of weeks, and I'll bump this thread when I do. For now, here's a list of parts that are working/in good shape. All of this stuff is like new, not a scratch or mark on any of it, as I bought the machine from its original owner who used it for a single demo and then stuck it in the closet. I'm not going to set prices on anything here, just make me a reasonable offer and it's yours.

-Head assembly. Super low hours. No visible wear, no rust, awesome shape.

-Between 3-5 working channel cards. Will know the exact number soon. I'll fully test out any card I sell to make sure it's working 100%.

-NAB hub adapters (2)

-8 VU meters and func. select PCB (meter lights all work)

-Tension roller (2) w/ arm, assembly

-Pinch roller

-Wire harness from heads to rest of machine

-Head cover

-Case, any/all parts thereof

-Reel motor (2)

-Reel table assembly (2)

-Idle roller

-Tach roller

That's all the main stuff, but there are plenty of smaller parts too. Everything is working except the broken channel cards and the capstan. Feel free to ask if there's a part you need that I didn't mention here.

Head cover still available? Let me know if it it and what you want $ for it.
If it's too loud,...go away.
