Urei LA-4 - this was purchased last year from studio G/brooklyn. I added some trs pigtails and switched out the RCA amps for burr brown OPA-2134 on a brown dog adapter. It sounds great. selling to fund a large console. $550.
Altec 1566A - SOLD
MBox2 mini - BLA designed mod. includes unregistered Pro Tools 8 pack. So i asked matt about this unit and he recommended OPA2134 opamps for the 4 analog channels (2 in and 2 out). so i made the switch and it was not subtle. The lows were tighter yes but the highs sounded so much more open and less grainy. i AB'd one channel before doing the other so it was easy to hear. includes usb cable unregistered PT 8 cDs serial etc. $275
Microtech Gefell - vintage MV692 w/M71 cardiod capsule. The mic was converted to 48v and the capsule was replaced with a new M7 by Microtech Gefell in 2008. (paperwork included). I have 1550 into this mic with repairs, multipattern version going for 1850 here Microtech Gefell UM70/MV692
includes peluso shockmount and MG wooden case $900
altec 1588B octal socket mic pre. can be used standalone (hookup schematics available) or with an altec mixer. $25
