FS: Style & Function studio desk (NY area pickup)

Post by taylor12k » Sat Oct 16, 2010 5:04 pm

massive studio overhaul impending... so i'm selling my desk. it's a custom made Style & Function (Home) desk that was made to exactly fit a mackie control universal + extender (see pics).

however, it also comes with a blank wood panel that you can put in place of the cutout for the mackies to convert it back to a blank work surface (see bottom pics).

for the mackies, it's really cool as they're sunken in and nearly flush with the surface, it's very nice.

here are some specs on it:

- maple

- 12-total rack spaces in top bays (6 on each side)

- pull-out keyboard shelf under desk. completely hides away (as seen in photos) or pulls out to use. room for keyboard and mouse

- i've modified the desk so the area for the LCD monitors is sunken down about 4" thus reducing the acoustic profile of the monitors. i apologize in advance, my wood cutting in the back is a bit sloppy, but you can't see it when everything's installed. it's a mod that's well worth it.

- measures 91" long by about 32" deep. desk height is 31" and the racks rise another 10" up from that.

- it's really nice craftsmanship. works great.

- note. gear does not come with desk :)

- the blank panel on the top to cover mackie cut-outs actually fits in perfectly snug. i didn't bolt it in for those photos, so you see a little rise on the panel, but that's not the case if you put it all in right.

pick up only, for obvious reasons. i live in Pound Ridge, NY. (10576). and the desk can be as assembled or disassembled as you'd like, depending on how big of a vehicle you drive over.

i paid about $1200 new for the desk and would like to get $700 for it.

it's a fantastic deal for a really usable, quality desk.

open to any trades as well, any offers you may have.

please PM with any questions!

- taylor

Five (!) years later and this desk is for sale again

Post by jmele2 » Mon Jul 11, 2016 7:09 pm

Same details as previously listed. the desk has been doing light duty in my home studio. I'm about to do a studio renovation and this desk will no longer fit in my space, unfortunately. It's been a great addition to my studio, housing my Mackie control universal and Logic control plus 3 sets of monitors and various rack gear.

I'll entertain trades (mics, drums, etc.) or cash $600. I can deliver within reasonable distance of Western Long Island if needed. This does disassemble easily and is very easy to put back together.

Send me a PM -- Pictures available upon request!

Thanks!
