I traded this to a fellow Tape-Op'er. Thanks
This is a professionally racked two channel Magencordette preamp, originally in a reel to reel. It has a lovely vintage sound, looks beautiful, and has been updated with XLR mic inputs and I believe recapped. The VU's work great. The tube layout is 2 12ax7's, 2 12AT7's, 1 12AU7 and a 6x4.
People ALWAYS ask about it when they see it. You want a vintage sound, you can't really beat something built over 50 years ago.
I am open to trades, looking for a working echoplex (new or old) or Roland tape echo, nice clean solid state (no color) preamp, 12 string electric, synths, try me. I have just over $600 into this preamp. I just picked up a two channel Lomo preamp so I am pretty well set for colored preamps.
I can email photos and audio examples, shoot me your email addie if you'd like to check it.
I'm in Seattle.
Thanks,
Evan
