I bought two of these and waited FOREVER to get them. I have a small tracking room and really don't see the need to have 2 u47's right now, so I am selling one of the bodies and going to build a U67 type mic instead. These are exact replicas of the U47 head basket. You can find more info at
http://equinoxsystems.net/
This is just the body and binder connectors.
Build this
http://www.prodigy-pro.com/diy/index.php?topic=35667.0
and add one of these
http://www.thiersch-mic.de/en/estm_produkte.html
And you'll have yourself a seriously good u47esque mic for about a grand.
These bodies are not available to purchase right now from equinox.
I paid $200 for the body and $30 or so for the connectors plus shipping.
I will let it go for $200 shipped.

also... I have the PCB for the power supply laying around somewhere that I will throw in, assuming I can find it. Tube mics are easy to build, especially with a kit or even hand wired. You could build the exact U47 circuit with a EF14 tube and a PVC M7 from thiersch for very reasonable money compared to similar mics such as the wunder audio CM7. BV8 transformer recreations are readily available.
Strongly considering keeping it...if I don't get any interest in the next few days I'll probably take this down.
