Looking for some preamps to fit my budget. Will consider Sytek, RNP, Golden Age Pre 73, etc.
feel like considering an SCA rack with 2 A12 cards?
I had a pair of real API 312's from '72 and the SCA version is better and easier to use in some ways. It doesn't do some of that nice mid-forward grind you can get when driving a 2520 through the original input iron, but that's not a sound you want all the time.
