Ward Beck 470 preamps for sale
I have 1 pair of Ward Beck M470 pres and 1 pair of WB M470a pres for sale.
Both pairs are racked, plug and play. Both have 48+ capability, phase switch, and gain pad. Both pairs have a very nice additional mod: a variable gain control. These pre amps are very high output (even with the gain pad) and the variable gain control allows you to get some nice drive through the gain stages without clipping your inputs.
I am selling because I would really like to begin tracking through a console and I would like to use just the console pre amps.
I am asking only what I have in the preamps (pres plus the cost of the mod) at $875 per pair. PRICE DROP TO $775 per pair!
In case you're not familiar with Ward Beck, it is a Canadian company that arose in the 70s to compete with Neve. These consoles found their way mainly into high end broadcast situations, but they were designed to compete with recording gear at the time. Multiple gain stages, transformers, high quality components, and they sound great. Real diamonds in the rough.[/img]

I haven't figured out how to post pictures here yet. You can see them on gearslutz at:

I'm personally not in the market for 'em, but I thought to point out that your photos are only visible to members at GS.
If you want to show 'em here, upload 'em to a free site (I use photobucket.com) and then link them by using the grey button (2nd from right) labeled "Img" when you are in the "Reply" window.
