Does anyone know how to sell a MCI 416?

Does anyone know how to sell a MCI 416?

Post by mindbreathe » Mon Oct 22, 2012 12:59 pm

I have a complete MCI 416 mixer with all the Mogami in the world and three power supplies and a 20 space IsoBox. The MCI master section was fully modded with the pricey Sage discrete opamps as was six of the mixer channels. I want to get out of this system. Can anyone give me help on how to sell it? Any hot tips? I'm willing to take a huge loss.

This mixer sounds phenomenal.

Please help!

Located in Oakland, CA. Pickup only unless I start parting out the channels.

I'm not sure about your local pick-up angle, but Chris Mara in Nashville (Welcome to 1979 Studio/Mara Machines) deals in tape machine refurbs for people all around the country; mostly Otari and MCI. Maybe one of his clients wants a console to go with a machine?

Wow, just saw a picture-- that's a beauty. Wonder why you're selling? Wish I could buy it? (I can't)...

In any case, try Chris.

Offer it at a price someone is willing to pay. Many of these go for well under $4000. Asking $12k for a non-functional console won't get many offers.
