Yamaha PM-1000 16 channel Mixer For Sale

Post by MJA » Sun Aug 25, 2013 2:35 pm

Yamaha PM-1000 16x4x4 console for sale. I am sorry to see this go, but I just am not recording much these days and it should go to a good home where it will get used.

I recapped and modified the board in 2008. Aside from the wood sides showing the console's age, everything works well. PCB boards are in great shape, so you can make further modifications if you wish.

Here is a list of the modifications:
All electrolytic caps replaced with same or better values.
Tantalum capacitors replaced with polypropylene capacitors of same or better values
The amplifier transistors were replaced with Hitachi equivalents for lower noise and better performance
Bypass caps added to all electrolytic caps in audio circuits
New bulbs in main output VU meters
All knobs and sliders cleaned thoroughly

Known issues
Aux VU lamps do not work (just never get around to replacing them, as it seemed more trouble than it was worth.)
Vu meter for master 3 is missing plastic cover (works fine though)

Console as a few extra goodies including:
spare PSU (not working, used for parts)
spare channel strip frame
bunch of spare parts including screws, potentiometers, buss switches, knobs, etc...

You can find the user and service manuals online, but if you have trouble locating them, I will be happy to upload them to you.

Pick up only.

$2,000
