WTB: Pro Tools 10 license

Post by atavacron » Thu Nov 21, 2013 9:14 am

I'm really much more of a Logic user, but some of my clients need to track and mix in Pro Tools.

So the most current version of PT that will run on my system appears to be PT 10.3.2, as I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion (thus 9 is non-op), but my Hackintosh is dubbed a 3,1 version. Until I get it together to bump that up to 4,1, I'm looking to get into the 10s. I do have my own iLok, a first edition, but my understanding is that the 10 license will run fine on it. I also have the software, so really....I just need a license.

If you're in the Bay Area, or planning to travel here, I'd be more than happy to trade for studio time.

Let me know.

Thanks!

I'm running Mountain Lion and PT9 runs fine, on a real Mac not a Hackintosh so I don't know if that makes a difference but FYI?

That is valuable info. FWIW I am not the most competent Hackintosh dude.

I don't think PT9 is officially supported with Mountain Lion, likewise it isn't supported with Windows XP?but I don't have trouble running it under either?and I have to maintain compatibility with an old PT7 based HD system so upgrading to PT10 or 11 would just add unnecessary hassle to my workflow.

Right on. Yeah I'm just going off of the published Avid compatibility data.
