Never racked, I've used this in my office (sitting on the desk) and for occasional remotes with a PC laptop. Since my new laptop offers only USB (unfortunately not firewire), I'm selling this. It has all the features of the 828 MkII, plus vastly improved sound from the Black Lion Audio upgrade mod.
If you're not familiar with the Mark Of The Unicord 828 MkII interface, it offers 2 mic preamps, 8 analog line ins, 8 analog line outs, SPDIF digital and ADAT lightpipe for digital I/O as well. It also has a front panel headphone jack.
