Hey everyone!
I have an RCA 515S1 for sale. This is a 15" "duo cone"/ full range/ coaxial driver. I had intended to use this as the control room monitor in my vintage recording studio, but it was observed that a 15" driver would excite the low end in my smaller then average control room so I switched sights to a 12".
The RCA 515S1 is considered to be the "poor man's" LC1A - RCA's flagship model and the greatest sounding speaker every produced imho.
I bought it needing a recone, which it still needs. The cone is currently cut out of it as if the previous owner started the process already. I sent it off to get reconed, but canceled at the last minute to spend the money I would have for the re-cone on what I really needed in the first place... a 12" speaker.
My loss is your gain. These go for a good price on Ebay. The last one I saw sold into the few hundred dollar range.
I'm asking $120 shipped OBO.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
