For sale is a beautiful Otari MX-80 tape machine!

This machine is being pulled from current service where it was regularly maintained and always performed flawlessly. It's a factory built 32 track, 2" tape machine.

The Otari MX-80 is a well regarded piece of equipment. The transport is rock solid and will never give you problems. This has all the classic tape sound you want without having to remortgage your house to afford a $10,000.00 Studer A-800. It's easy to use and simply sounds great!

Included in the sale is the original remote, a brand new stand for the remote, the owners manual, a test tape, and 6 reels of tape! The tape alone is worth $1000.00!

You are welcome to check out the machine at our studio in Crete, IL - about 40 minutes south of Chicago. It's not currently hooked up, but we could connect it up in a few minutes so you can test it's functions and hear how great it sounds! We can also arrange pickup in the St. Louis, MO area with a week's or two's notice.

We've owned the machine for 2 years. We recently switched to a 16 track format to better accommodate our 16 buss console and can't stand the thought of this guy just sitting in the corner all alone...
