Taye cast aluminum & birch snare drums for sale, great d

Too many snare drums so I'm letting a couple go. Taye was a Japanese company that made very high quality drums at a fair price point, but they did not survive the recession. Great hardware and shells, smooth throw-off, easy to tune and they hold tune. Both of these drums are in mint condition, were store demos and used on just a couple of sessions, never gigged.

Taye 14 x 6 "Studiobirch" 7mm thick birch ply snare, $165 + shipping

This is a warm-sounding snare as you would expect from birch wood, but still has a great pop. No wear to mention, maybe a few fingerprints. Tunes easily, holds tuning and sounds excellent. It would be difficult to find a better wood snare for this price. Suitable for just about any style of music, pop, country, rock, funk, jazz etc. Maybe not heavy metal.

StudioBirch Drums feature 100% Premium Birch Shells, Which offers a naturally EQ'd sound, accentuated highs, mid-range punch and a short decay. Ideal for any drummer looking for a snare that will cut through the mix.

Taye 14 x 6 Cast Aluminum Snare, $250 shipping or best offer.

This particular drum can be very loud and aggressive but the aluminum composition still gives it some warmth, and although it can be played loud it is also very sensitive. It features a 6mm thick cold hammered aluminum shell which gives it an aggressive, unbridled tone. It has an unbelievable crack and side stick, sounds great tuned up or down. I would say it is suitable for rock, pop, metal, gospel, and reggae.

Features:
Heavy 6mm Cold Hammered Aluminum Alloy Shell
Studded Gaskets
SideLatch Snare Release
2.3mm Triple Flange Hoops
