WTB: Shure SR-107 EQ
I'm looking for one or 2 of these. I'm familiar with the going rates on ebay/reverb for these. please let me know if you have 1/2 and how much you want for them.

Re: WTB: Shure SR-107 EQ
lol meant a pair. yeah completely lost all faith in internet forum hype. this was well regarded for bass and kick yet the inherent tone bypassed is light on lows, not sure if people just overcome the transformers by boosting the crap out of the low end to get that good bass/kick sound. it was 60 dollars, so it will be fine on my electric piano that does need a little EQ to sparkle.
honestly the shure m67 is so far winning my "battle of the cheap shit" competition. tried that altec 1589 you suggested and it does do fuzz bass very well but the low end was lacking compared to the shure (i was very surprised). i'm a bassist so low end is paramount to me
next up is the much talked about Peavey VMP-2, well see if it really does beef up the signal, have a big low end, and have nice grit and tube drive.
maybe i'm just too hard on this cheap shit, i don't know.

What is yer intended use? Bass?
I dig The Brick, what is cheaper than the VM2.
I also dig the Meek VC3Q, what mebbe needs (and takes well) a bit of EQ - which is right onboard!
Cheaper yet is the Tech21 VT pedal.
Sometimes I just DI thru my 1176 clone. Meek 'pressers like the MC2 work well, also.
I recently bought the Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone Bass 'presser and it's pretty cool. It has a one-sound fuzz switch onnit, but the 'presser sounds cool by itself. I like opto and Ross designs; a good Ross is the Visual Sound Rt66 compressor, either stand-alone or with the 'screamer side.
Cheapest yet would be the Joyo American pedal. It's a cop on the Tech21 Blonde, but works pretty good on bass, with decent EQ and stacks well.
