odd behavior

Post by Everybody's X » Tue Nov 01, 2005 8:49 pm

first off its so nice to see the TOMB back!

anyway, does anybody else have this issue?
when I click on a topic it comes right up, right away BUT if I reply to it, it wont load back up, or takes forever to do so.
It will hang on the "view your post" page
Everything loads fine until I post something, then the thread is dead to me.

anyone else?
Hillary are you trying to tell me something?

OK heres an example.
I posted originally at 11:49 board time
I clicked on return to board, it immediately went to the board. I clicked on this post again and it completely locked up my browser for 5 minutes (its 11:54 as of this typing)
I am using Firefox and I have gearsluts open in another tab and its working fine so it isn't my connection

weird

This should probably be a sticky. Other people might have the same problem.

it was referencing an old avatar from everybodysx.com that was in my profile from version 3.0. It wouldn't load because it was looking for it.
once I edited my profile everything is fine. :D

I just figured it out this morning so I figured I'd post it here in case any returning posters are having the same problem

Not just avatars

Post by rhythm ranch » Sun Nov 06, 2005 7:16 am

Hi,
I don't think the problem is just avatars. I'm not currently using an avatar and I haven't posted in many of the threads. Whether it's the first time or whether I'm returning, I've hit numerous threads that take forever to open.

Ditto here. I've never had an avatar, and the "stuck" threads in question seem to be random (though new) and often not ones to which I've posted.

best,

Ironically, this thread was stuck for me for a few days.

crazy, I am betting it all has to do with your indivual profiles from before and once they are updated every thing is cool (?) mine has been at least

mine was fine for a couple of days, and then threads started freezing. It's fine again. I'm sure it'll get ironed out; it's just weird.
