Question

Post by wing » Fri Nov 25, 2005 10:17 am

I understand that TOMB is moving to being less off-topic and more about recording; but what forum do we possibly go when we want to wish someone a happy birthday, or ask a question about culture, society, politics, etc., that may indirectly affect music and recording? I'm not pushing for off-topic, but are we just not even allowed to do something like talk about the culture and life that affects music? If so, where can we put it?

Listening section? Really, I do think there's room for a lot on this board. I see little divergences that are cool all over the board.

I don't see much need for birthday greetings, that's what PM is for.

Okay? perhaps my example wasn't the best. But part of what knits us together is what we are and do when we're not recording. Again, I'm not saying we should be all over off-topic stuff... I am just wondering, if ever I want to ask a serious question about something that doesn't necessarily directly fit into the technical areas of music or recording, but still affects us as music people and human beings? where would I put that?

People Skills? Look around, see how people are using the forums. I don't think it is as "stifled" as people assume.
