HTML broken?

Every time I try to use HTML it always breaks on me. Anyone else notice this problem?

<a href="http://tapeop.com"> -- Nope.
<a href=http://tapeop.com> -- No again.
<img src="http://messageboard.tapeop.com/images/t ... header.gif"> -- No again.

Is this deliberate? I don't think it matters too much, I just get annoyed every time I try and find it doesn't work.

Just use BBCode. Works every time. Personally, I think the TOMB mods are nuts for allowing HTML in the first place, esp. given that they've been hacked before.
