posting speed, and the 'wait a short while'

Post by themagicmanmdt » Mon Mar 02, 2009 11:10 pm

....to prevent spamming?

what's the actual time that we have to wait?

maybe i just need to chill out a bit...

but it seems that it has to be at least a few minutes before I can edit mistypes or misinfo - I sure wish that we could edit immediately.

replying/new posts, understandable.

but editing?

can that be changed?

It seems like the wait used to be longer. It bugs me now and then but what the heck.

For editing, it should be instant.

I try to preview more these days, but I do have the same complaint about not being able to make quick corrections after posting.

Agreed, big-time PITA.

And don't even get me started on the search function delay. The first search usually yields completely useless results ("your search found 17,944 matches) and then you have to wait to search. I just use google these days.
