Is there somewhere to purchase these online or a dealer of some sort?

here's their website:

http://www.stapesaudio.com

I e-mailed him about the stapes omni's and here was his reply:

We are working on a redesign for the mics right now.
The new mics will be housed in a black aluminum body, machined to a very
elegant look. They will come in a nice felt lined cedar box with mic clips.
They also have a few circuit changes, which deal with some problems of the
first batch. The price for the pair will be around $500, and I'm hoping to get
the mics out by early next month.

hope that helps

I emailed them a few months ago and got the same message, I thought for sure they were in full swing with the new ones by now. I'd like to try a set, but that doesn't meet my Ramen noodle budget I'm on now.

Thanks for your interest in our products. I apologize for the long delays, but we are taking the time to make the mics as solid as possible. We will have some mics ready for sale as soon as I get back from tapeopcon 2003. If you want some more information you can call me or email me.
