no manual and no meter bridge :(

but I am open to offers, and I live in NJ btw, so you'd have to pay for shipping (obviously)

oh and the reason I bought it and never used it, is because, right after I bought it, I came to the conclusion that mixing wasn't going to be done in my facility...

I am always looking out for these boards on ebay and I can honestly say that this isn't the case.

i pretty much look every day to every other day... Since last fall...

It's up and down, but I usually see at least 1-2 new ones every week.

Keep your eyes open... and be patient, it's a great board...

I just worked on one of these not to long ago.
It was a frusterating experience.
But mabey it's just that I'm not used to these consoles.

how was it frustrating? what problems did you have?

it took me maybe a few hours and a peek or two at the manual to figure the whole board out...

great board for the money... i'll never buy a mackie again...

I have one of the pastel 24x8 Topaz models. Works great, with manual but no meter bridge. If you want it make me an offer.

Mabey it was the way it was set-up but the tape returns wouldn't show up through the channel inserts (just mic/line ins). the eq was set-up in the worst way I have ever seen. You couldn't tell if you were on 200hz or 3k. no freq labels.
So you had to crank the gain to hear what freq you were on.
And the routing was just strange to me.
I'm sure for a cheaper console it's a great deal.
It wasn't my favorite to work on.
Granted I had never even seen this console before.
It may have been a way older one.
It was a 48 input one. so mabey it was a different model.

Are you sure it was a Topaz? Maybe a PC os Solo-Series. I guess the EQs not being labeled clearly frequency-wise is kind of a drag (welcome to that range of consoles), but none of those other problems sound applicable to any of the Topi (?) I've worked on. And I don't think they ever made a 48-channel Topaz, but I could be wrong about that.
