it's a good thing they only want $165,000 for that thing. If it was $166,000....well forget it.

EBay's always over-priced. I got my custom Daking at a garage sale last weekend for only $164,000.

If you know where to look there are always bargains out there.

That is actually a pretty kick-ass deal, considering what a daking 24 channel goes for. But who needs 80 channels? I don't plan on doing a new Queen record any time soon. Daking's a rock and roll console, and who in rock needs 80? Seriously, anyone out there?

if i spent that kind of cash, it'd better have a dynamics section.

daking comps, i've heard, are pretty nice - why would they not come in the console?

I've seen that console in person. Pretty fucking big. Wish I had one. Wish I had the $!!!!

The console does look big (and beautiful!). But if I had 165 G's to dump into someone else's bank account in 10 days flat I'm not sure I would spend it on this particular sale...

Instead I could buy 6 x Daking 16 channel consoles for 150 grand and still have 15K left over for patchbays and control centres and what-not. Maybe even some dynamics!

I wish I had the $ too, just not sure I would spent it the same way. :)

(Still I *do* wish I had that console...)

Anyone know why it's being sold? Going-out-of-business sale?

Cheers,

So you probably know the people who own it--why are they unloading it, one year after custom-building?

(edit: whoops! I just noticed I was in the Buy/Sell/Trade section--why am I aimlessly chatting?)
