FS: Soundcraft 200 series mixer
FS: Soundcraft 200 series mixer
The quintessential project studio board. It's clean, modular, and the power supply is in great shape. Loaded with 27 (?!?) rails, 4 buss. Room for another 5 rails to make it 32 channels. And a dust cover, even! Go to Eddie Ciletti's site to learn about the cool mods he came up with for it.
Exactly one known issue: a cold solder joint in the monitor section. It's the one where playback cuts out, so you crank the volume to get it to kick back in. Happens about every fifteen minutes or so. A tech could track it down in five minutes.
I'm in Kansas City, and will ship to continental US. I'd even be willing to drive up to two hours in any direction and deliver it personally. $600 plus shipping (if applicable) takes it. Email me: chriswagner AT gmail DOT com.

I love this board (in comparison to anything else in the price range that I've heard). Someone buy it and be happy you did.

Re: FS: Soundcraft 200 series mixer
I am buying the board!
I'm really excited too. I have a DAW and a 8 track tascam reel to reel. I'm probably going to buy 5 more channel strips for it. that way I can have it kickin some ass with both setups!
how are the pres on this board?

Well I'm not exactly sure how to describe their sound but they're a lot better than the pres you find on many consoles today. I think I'd describe the overall sound of the board as mellow, like some of the highs get sponged up but in a good way, IMHO. A warm lower midrange too. If you end up disliking it, the circuitry is so simple with maybe three IC opamps per channel. Very easy to change for a number of equivilents - as Ciletti mentions.mingus2112 wrote:how are the pres on this board?

It's not written specifically for a 200 but the informatiom still applies.

Still available. Since all interest thus far has been from people looking for a PT front-end, I'll state up front: this board does not have direct outs on each channel.
Re: FS: Soundcraft 200 series mixer
is it still for sale?
