FS Otari MX-5050 1/2" 8 Track

Post by dokushoka » Tue Jul 20, 2004 3:18 pm

I've got an Otari MX5050 8 track for sale. I pulled this unit out of storage, and its in good shape. The only thing it needs is a new roller. The rubber on it is crapped out so you'll either have to track down a new one or I don't think it'd be hard to have new rubber put on. The heads look good, the transport is solid, and I have a remote that I had from another machine, which I'll throw in. It works, but its missing some buttons, so its not pretty to look at.

I've got an MCI Jh-16 now, so I don't have much use for the Otari, even though its a cool machine.

Make me an offer! I'm in the SOMA district of San Francisco, CA.

Colin

You can still purchase new pinch rollers from Otari in LA. About $75 + shipping.

Great little machines. Torque-driven braking - I never knew that until I got one. Nice to find that on an old semi-pro machine.

Regards

Dave

would you consider shipping it or would it have to be picked up?

I'm happy to ship, provided it goes to a good home.
