FS: My House (with studio space) - Quincy, MA

Post by lsn110 » Thu Aug 05, 2004 6:25 pm

So...as family circumstances dictate, I'm leaving Greater Boston and moving to the harsher climes of Upstate New York. Sadly, I'll be leaving the space I built in the basement as a studio behind. So here are the stats:

House
Living Area (upstairs only) 882 sq. ft.
3 BR / 1 BA
Lot Area - .14 acres (nice private lot)
Six minute walk to Wollaston T (Red Line)
Hot Water heater < 6 months old
Gas Furnace <3 yrs old
Central A/C <2 yrs old
Bathroom Completely redone 3 yrs ago

Studio (in basement)
Control room - 100 sq ft
Live Room - ~250 sq ft.
9.25 foot ceilings

Basically, I'm taking the equipment, but would leave the installed treatment (including 705 drop ceiling in control room) and the 16 channel (through wall) snake for a tape-op type. I know...ain't huge, but it ain't bad either if you don't already have a space. All walls are 1" of drywall (double 1/2" sheets). Doors all solid core. Good separation between live and control (double wall).

Pictures are worth a thousand words...so if you're interested have a look.

Asking price is $329,000.

In short, I'd love to see someone come in that will use the studio space for recording. I haven't had nearly enough time in it...

If yr. interested PM me, I'll respond promptly.

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,
Im really sorry that you have to leave. Thats a really nice place youve got. I wish our budget on a house wasnt half of the asking price (sadly wimpering!). Ive always drooled over houses with stairs, and seeing a house for sale with two makes me, well... and a basement... thats a studio! The ideas. The possibilities!
O well,
all the best in your sale, and move. Im sure you wont have a problem at all in turning it over. Hope the family situations arent too serious.

nice backyard also.
What the hell, if you throw in one of the danelecto's I'll take it.

Well...my new (day) job is in Saratoga, so somewhere around there. My wife and I will be living with her mother until we find a place.

As for the studio, I may be stupid, but my studio partner and I are looking for a new space around Boston to put it. He's committed to making it work with the realization that I won't be able to do much on the studio side for at least a year. I'll have my own pared down setup out there for my own personal recording.

Wow...near Wolaston beach? Nice set up. I like the wood floor.
