Upgraded Epiphone Sheraton for sale

Post by twitchmonitor » Tue Dec 21, 2004 8:37 am

I'm about to post a few items locally but wanted to offer this one to the TO community first, since I think it's a great guitar and a cheap price. It's a blonde Epiphone Sheraton, 335 style. Don't let the "Epiphone" scare you off: this guitar is sweet. Great craftsmanship (can't find any flaws in the work) and the guitar is just beautiful....mother of pearl and abolone inlays in the fingerboard, MOP vine inlay in the headstock. I replaced the crappy stock tuners with black Sperzels, I replaced the P.O.S. pickups with open coil Seymour Duncan '59s, I replaced ALL the electronics with good, brand new components (thank you stew mac), I replaced the knobs with black Gibson tophat knob and I put straplocks on it. It's in impecable condition. Play great, sounds great. Gibson 335s are a bit more solid feeling and might sound a rch better, but this guitar is definitely in the race.
I really love this guitar but I'm getting rid of all my gear and moving on with my life.

I'll be taking pictures tonight, so feel free to ask me for them.

With hardshell case. $450

I'm in San Francisco, btw.

Hmmm... The asian stuff during the 70s sucks a** though. A Casino with a bolt-on neck? Not a good idea.
