A great, great pair of studio monitors that I've been using in my home set up for a number of years. I totally hate to part with these, but must. If you've got the means, these are amazing for studio mains or in a mastering situation. They LOVE EL34 based power amps, so if you happened to have a groovy old tube amp like a McIntosh with these tubes, you are in luck. They literally make it seem like Monk is playing piano in your living room. I've heard many high end speakers, watt puppies, maggies, etc.....None have ever come close to these that I've heard.

The only true great mic on this planet is the Shure SM-57. It is the most consistant in not totally sucking of anything ever built. All other mics are "application dependant".
