MXR Phase 45

Post by lunatic » Sat Feb 05, 2005 9:24 am

Hey fellow TapeOp'ers...

I have an older MXR Phase 45 in great condition. I'm considering selling it but am not sure what to request price-wise.

Checking EBay, closed auctions for these ranged from $70 all the way to $160. Crazy difference but that's EBay.

What do you guys think is a fair price? If someone is interested I will entertain *reasonable* offers meaning don't send me an e-mail saying you'll gimmie $20 bones for it.

Feel free to PM me, reply here, or shoot an e-mail to brad@evergroove DOT com.

Peace,
Brad

It really depends on the year it was made and the size of the knob.

$70-$80 is an average price for these lovely pedals. If you put it up on eBay, you're sure to cause a bidding war that could double that as long as it works and is cosmetically respectable.

Thanks for the input! I cannot confirm the date it was made. I do know that my Uncle gave it to me when I first started playing guitar back in the 80's. He had owned it long long before that. He gave up guitar and gave me the phaser. Me gave me an MXR distortion too but somewhere in all the moving I've done it got lost :-|

If a TapeOp'er wants it I'll sell it to them. Otherwise, it'll go to EBay very soon.

Peace,
Brad

PS: I know the above is poor grammar but I'm just too tired. Need some sleep!

i.e...is the "phase 45" in cursive?
if so...

$200... woah!

It is the block logo and, after some checking, even those have gone for over $100 on EBay.

Peace,
Brad
