looking for mics

Post by teen getaway » Wed May 28, 2003 6:45 am

Looking to find good condenser mics for a budget (right now--$300). Looking for something versatle, but with character. Right now we're recording with a cassette four-track and a cakewalk with a very simple soundcard (as in one input--but hopefully that won't last forever either)...Basically: We're looking for something that can do the most (and sound the best) considering our restraints. Any suggestions would be nice.

Also: Anyone know where I could find a Milab DC96?

Thanks,

not a "character" mic really, but the at 4033 is incredibly versatile and can easily be had for $300.

I don't know about the DC96 at all, but I've got the VIP-50 and it sure is one of the MOST versatile mics, in my opinion. It's also one of the MOST "non-character" mics too!
