Mixing in Los Angeles

Post by XXF » Wed Jul 21, 2004 11:26 am

Can anyone recommend a studio for mixing in LA? I am looking to spend around $500 a day. Although home studios can and do produce genius results, I am looking for a studio/someone who mixes full time with a tuned room, etc. Thanks! Rancho De Luna was one recommendation.

AmeRAYcan Recording in North Hollywood has been letting mix time go on an SSL G-series console for cheap. Maybe try Preferred Recording in Woodland Hills too. SSL E-Series with some good outboard...

Nice. Thanks. I am surprised at how few responses I've gotten.

Hey,

I am a mixing engineer at a studio in Los Angeles. We are Del Oro Music and offer great hourly and Day rates.

Sounds good. What types of music do you like to mix?

Try The Lair studio. Pretty good rates, great atmosphere, and a very good engineer, too. They just finished a project with John Cale (Velvet Underground).

Nice. Thanks. Wow, based on their address my apartment is a few blocks away.
