i like how up front you are with your information. in respect to that, i have to be the same way... i got an eerie vibe from the site. kind of negative. maybe it's that picture. i dunno just kinda freeked me out. if the music was really dark stuff also, then i could understand. maybe some pictures would help? you also gave a lot of examples of what not to do. i really did like the part about patching a snare drum thru 4 distortion pedals. that was a nice example.

Thank you. Most of the bands that hire me are dark/art rock. Pictures are coming. I want the text to be more of the screen, not just a side bar.

Thanks for checking it out.

With reluctance I'll add mine. :D

Important for a budding audio guy to have a website and a URL if you ask me.

I just finished my site it's here...
http://fade.to/ChrisRosenberry and obviously its uner the recording link.

As far as audio support, I'm hosting my own audio, and building small movies in flash to do it. you can also use sites like purevolume.com and just link from your site to it.

anyway, enjoy!

peace,
Chris

Here's my discography site. Nice idea. Also, here's another site I found by accident that did my discography for me. Kinda cool. Artistdirect.com

Hey seventh wave-I need to hire you as a publicity guy,
The how to choose a producer section is fucking hilarious.

I would add one more question that might be helpful.....

"have you ever made a record before?"

I just finished mine. I like to keep things simple. It's a flash file, but it really doesn't have a lot of animation. But it's up and that's what counts.

Any comments welcome. If you'd like me to whip one up for you... I can do it in a weekend.

Bravo Alex,

Elegant, mature, and easy to find the information

One thing that I am curious about (for anyone in this thread) is how much business their website brings them.

Did you do anything specifically for search engines and whatnot?
