Congrats. My last bout with management was a tussle. Best of luck.

PS- and I thought I was the only jerk...

Jeff, I hear you with the tussle. I wouldnt have done it if I didnt trust this person, and his work. I simply need someone to get me off the damn phone. Not dedicating enough time to the client I am with, nor the ones calling about future work is lame.

I am relieved, and have someone to chase labels for me now as well. Who the hell has time to chase money around when they are recording bands every day?

Any suggestions for getting a manager? Man, I could use somebody chasing money around for me! I mean, God, I have put bands on the Lollapalooza Tour, Van's Warped Tour, international tours, worldwide sales, etc.

How do I get hooked up with that action?

I know some people have bad expereinces with management, For me its a godsend. The best part is that for indie records I do not have to be the bad cop. I can just hang with the band and talk about making cool records and my manager can call them and argue about money. Also since I do a lot of work overseas its great to have some one handling logistics on future and past projects.

I spent years trying to get hooked up with a manger. It was a couple years after I did my first major label project that I finally found one.
