Singer-songwriter looking for mixer/producer
Singer-songwriter looking for mixer/producer
I've recorded the entirety of my debut album on my own,
and am looking for a mixer with a rock sensibility
(Infl: Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Stina Nordenstam...)
to mix my album on analog. I have a reasonable budget,
and am looking for the right person to help me finish it up.

I'd love to hear your stuff. Any MP3's to listen to? I own a studio in Seattle but who knows, maybe we could work something out.

Sounds like many sounds I am into. PJ Harvey is amazing. Flood did some great work with her. The Albini stuff is solid too.
Several questions:
1. Any monitor mixes of the material thus far?
2. Where are you located?
3. Demos can be sent to: Jeff Robinson P.O. Box 5579 Plymouth, MI 48170
4. Analog mixing is a great way, what format are the songs currently in?
You can visit my discography at www.thirdmonkrecords.com/discography.html

I have an analog studio outside the city, can mix from 2" 16 trk to 1/4" 2 track. Happy to meet up in the city to discuss your project. Jeff's rock resume is world's cooler than mine...

Hey
Jeff Buckley and Radiohead are two of my favorite artists. When Grace came out, I was completely blown away by both the songs and the sounds that Buckley had created. It's a damned shame that the world is without him...
I'd love the opportunity to mix your record. I work at a great studio in Manhattan (Dubway Studios, www.dubway.com). We have a really nice analog setup with lots of vintage outboard gear. I can get you an incredible rate if you don't mind working some odd hours... Give me a shout back and perhaps we can do some listening sometime.
