Hey listen to this!
I just finished recording this hardcore band called Hold Your Ground and I was pretty happy with it, so I wanted everyone else to here it. I've only been into recording for about two years now. I recorded this at my house. Here is the link:

Hardcore band #10923 to steal their name from a Gorilla Biscuits song...

HAHA yeah I know. That name is soooo cliche'. Did you list to the song though? What did you think of the recording quality?

Sounds good, but wheres the bass. I am in a similiar genre, and the bass is almost completely missing. Just what I thought. Crank that bitch up. That band reminds me so much of Heartscarved. Check them out, if that is shit you are in to. That band is sweet. They almost sound too much like them.

Thanks. Yeah with bass is pretty subtle. He mostly just follows the guitars so I just used it to acsentuate the heavyness.

Even if it is following the guitars, I think it would kick ass if it were louder. It just sounds like there is a big whole in the spectrum on the low end. I mean, don't want the song to friggin kick your ass????InvalidInk wrote:Thanks. Yeah with bass is pretty subtle. He mostly just follows the guitars so I just used it to acsentuate the heavyness.

Nope, play guitar and sing. I guess I can play bass, but just like a guitar, not a slap bass or anything really cool.hel$tab wrote:hmm do you play bass?SecondSon wrote:Sounds good, but wheres the bass. Re: Hey listen to this!
Sounds good! To my ears there seemed to be a gap in the midrange... I know that's typical for hardcore, but maybe a bit much? My ears were just craving a bit of maybe... 500Hz? Something in there. This seems to be one of those songs that sounds really good on great speakers, turned up loud, but when played quietly (but when do people play hardcore quietly... anyway) it sounds a bit thin. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the complements. I bet if it was mastered it would probably fill out the over all sound.
