I suppose I'm looking for feedback...

Post by dartmusic » Fri Apr 23, 2004 11:00 am

I recently finished mixing my record which, hopefully, will be released in July.

I recorded everything myself, drums at a couple of rehearsal spaces and all overdubs in my home studio. I started the project in Logic but moved over to Samplitude to mix. Most plugs are UAD, some Digitalfishphones, Kjerhaus, PSP.

It's sort of electronic-ish indie-rock? Ugh, who knows what to call anything these days.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Rick

You did all this yourself? You're a regular bad ass. Sounds great. I like "Simple Solution" - nice instrumentation.

How did you track all this by yourself? Did you play the drums to just a bass/click? The songs have the feel of a band. I'm surprised it all sounds so cohesive.

Whoa...foot in mouth alert!

No, I didn't PLAY everything myself...I guess I wasn't terribly clear. I did play most of the guitars, all the keys, sang most of the vocals, but I had a rhythm section, and someone playing leads.

But, thanks!
