so where are you in texas? i used to live in austin and sa.

umm. i'm not sure if i'm the best person to ask for contructive mix criticisms. one thing that came to me is there was maybe too much hihat on the second section of the rocked out song.

is this all the same singer?

seems like you at the nitpicky critique stage though to me. which is not my strong point really.

i live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where all "pro" studios seem to be way overpriced and the local music scene is being systematically murdered by the establishment.

am i bitter? heh.

i totally agree about the hihat.
i guess the person who put "Tear me a new one" as the subject line of their post put it best: i am looking for BOTH objective opinions about perceived tracking/mixing flaws as well as personal preferences about the sound here.

i know about dallas. it's a cultural wasteland.

i like how the singer gets kinda 'lost in the mix' on that mix. don't let anybody tell you to bring the vox up...
