im looking for feedback on these mixes. i tend to mix the cymbals pretty hot and the vox a little a-la mid 90's rock. is this stuff listenable? oh, and are any of the songs good?

Re: almost not-rough-mixes
Reminds me of a cross between Modest Mouse and Sunny Day Real Estate... sort of. heheh
If you were to change anything, I would say put the guitars a tiny bit back, and the vocals a tiny bit forward.

interesting that you picked out some sunny day.. as metal as this stuff is, sunny day is my all time favorite. and as far as criticism of the recording, im surprised you didnt say "have competent musicians re-record everything". j/k. thanks

I love Sunny Day Real Estate myself. I even had the chance to see them live. It was the big wall of guitars and extended chord holds that reminded me of them. Competent musicians? Bah. A lot of times I think the music on the radio is just too perfect... it takes away from the soul of the music, ya know?
