I just got turned on to Brian Jonestown massacre too! This is interestingly cool. The album I got was the compilation of all their previous works. It's got a transic / hippiness to it. Here is an audio track I found online. Not bad eh?

Re: Brian Jonestown Massacre NEW CD
I love it - the guy has 26 albums and never gets any better.. It's the same rhythm playing the same 2 chords for the same song over and over.

You're almost right with the 'same two chords' remark. The album version of "when jokers attack" sounds cool but I first heard it live. The tempo was a little faster and I'm used to hearing it that way now.
I think BJM is great. I have some stories from when they played at KVRX. They did two sessions while I was there. The first one went pretty well until one of the guitarists got pissed off and walked out before the set was over. Anton was drinking beer and he bent our ear talking about how neutrinos were going to shoot down from outer space and erase our DAT tapes...
The second session was a disaster. They seemed like they were more than a little road-weary, and nobody felt like cooperating with each other. I don't think we made it through a single song!
And this one was before my time at KVRX, but the story goes that somebody in the band spilled red wine on the broadcast console, ruining it and setting us back $10k. Yikes!
