hard disk. the piano was spaced cardioid C1000's into Daking 52270's into a G4 laptop's line-in jack. The gong and paper sounds were a Popov MK-14 (X-Y stereo) into Mackie into M-Audio Quattro.

The broken piano is in my friend's basement. It's just the soundboard and strings of an upright. It leans against the wall inviting curious people. We made a recording of us playing it with a hacksaw blade, wire cutters, a rubber ball, and ?? else was around. This piece uses snippets of that session.

ready to do your taxes yet?

Good stuff man. It's like a film noir soundtrack about taxes.
