Nothing but an SM57

No effects at all. Just a 57 and mic preamps. And only 1 SM57 at that.

I have no idea what I want to do at the end. I was going to add some more vocals, like kind of whispery but ran out of words.

Thanks for the commants!

If that is a one mic recording that drum sound kills.

Awesome job. I thought the part where the vocal goes distorted may not be translating as well as you may think.

Cool song too.

Yeah.. mostly I did it because I could. I jsut ran all the pres in a mackie 1202 into each other in series.

Thanks for the comments on the drum sound. I have places where that would really work. The lowend really drops off though :-/

Sounds great. But the distorted vocal part could be better. It sounds like it was done digitally. Was it? I suggest just singing through a megaphone. I think you can pick one up at Radio Shack or something. Maybe even a police auction. I've seen people do this and it sounds great.

No. There was nothing but a 57 and mic preamps (MOTU and Mackie) used through out. For the distortion I went in series through the Mackie. Mic went in channel one, insert went into channel 2 whose insert went into channel 3 who went to the computer.

There are no effects AT ALL on this. There was a thread in General about doing this but it kind of died so I just did it anyway.
