Do you have Chairs Missing by Can though? It's great.phalex wrote:I'll cehck that out, I have Pink Flag and Tago Mago, and both didn't excite me that much. I really liked "I'm So Green" by Can though.jca83 wrote:you need to go get can's 'cannibalism 2', one of their "greatest hits"/odds and sods records.
there's a track on there you have to like: 'turtles have short legs'. it's so awesome.
"turtles have-ah short regs, ha-hd to run arou-ou-ound!"
come ON. it's awesome!

Yeah, It is pretty good.
I know one album is by can and one is wire, I was talking about both of them. I have yet to understand either one of these seminal bands.

wow, I can't believe I logged on and found this post.
Dude, you gotta bring back a bunch of Garvis imports for me. As many as you and your wife can carry. Say you will. Say it.

I can look...already got a pretty hefty import list to look out for, but I'll see what I can do, eh?junokane wrote:wow, I can't believe I logged on and found this post.

Well, I'm truly glad that I was able to somehow facillitate a round of Mom jokes. And thanks for the suggestions on the albums, too.
Leaving tomorrow, so it looks like I'm gonna take:
Neil Young - Harvest
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
Elliott Smith - x/o
Tori Amos - Under the Pink
Beck - Sea Change
Grandaddy - Sophtware Slump
Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's
Hum - Downward is Heavenward
Beastie Boys - Check Your Head
Death Cab - Transatlanticism
REM - Murmer
Ben Folds Five - Forever and Ever...
Yeah, so pretty middle of the road stuff, but I know it'll appeal to me in whatever mood I'm in, and those tend to be the albums that make me want to write songs the most anyway.
hasta una mes, amigos...
