Re: The Hubris! Bush must go. Yesterday.
I don't know what the terrorists would want, but I don't want Bush*. and in light of his* history, I'm worried about the sheer number of shady non-terrorism-related things he* could try to pull to have this election. and some of them he* might be able to get away with.
aurelialuz, the idea is that the election would proceed as planned unless a terrorist attack actually happened -- then, after the attack, the election would be postponed. of course there could be further attacks, but you get the idea.
I wonder, though -- if there were an attack on election day and the election were suspended, would the votes of those who had already voted be invalidated? I would sure hope so.
*by which of course I mean Dick Cheney.

Are there any bare surfaces in your house, such as tabletops or shelves? Those need to be filled with effects right away.

Rescheduling an attack is less involving than rescheduling a national election. Much less! The confusion!
All they have to do is bomb a voting booth in New York. Democracy will be over. Just wonder who's doing the bombing.

You're right. I secretly like Bush. I was just trying to look cool infront of everyone. Now pass me a PBR and a trucker hat.retarma wrote:
I think Bush is undoubtedly a fool, and that he should not be our president, but all this fashionable hipster Bush-hating is getting ridiculous
Re: The Hubris! Bush must go. Yesterday.
Actually, I agree with most of what retarma said. Personally, I do not feel Kerry would be much better. If 4 more years of more and more people seeing how rotten this administration will help build a legitamate party to take on the republicrats, then maybe it needs to be. People need to get even more angry, to the point where they get involved. And don't worry that if you vote ralph, you're helping Bush. It's not true. 100 million people in this country did not vote last time. That's the problem. 7 million registered democrats voted republican. That's the problem. Not the 3 million votes the greens got. Gore couldn't even win his own state..

Jesus christ superstar....
somedays i really wonder WTFLOLBBQ about the world, about this message board, about everything.
"Evidence" of a terrorist attack??? who fucking believes fucking "evidence" anymore? And i'm not just saying this because of just seeing farenheit 9-11, its been more than obvious over the past two years of this war on terror, war on the people, war on iraq hoax, that "evidence" has been mere fucking bullshit. So when we get this "evidence" and postpone the election, so when will it be "safe" to have the election.
It sucks to be in this position. I've never voted for the lesser of the two evils, never. I'm worried that this year maybe i may have to.??? These men are out of control. And what i propose for the solution, i cannot say on here. we are fuct, and we are doomed due to the events that have happened.
where's my PBR and my trucker hat. It makes me fucking sigh when socialism gets compared to fascism. come on people, drawing lines cause you can doesn't make you a fucking architect.

Nah, I didn't take it personally. I've just heard the "fashionable Bush hating" thing a lot and I don't get it at all. This isn't a band, this isn't pitchfork.
I guess I'm just not sure what you're saying. Haliburton didn't get Iraq contracts? They found WMDs? Iraq attacked us? The whole seperation of church and state thing is a little overrated?

Hating Bush isn't a 'fashionable' thing to do. If you think people hate Bush because it's 'fashionable' you haven't been paying attention.
People hate Bush for a goddamn reason - he's a lying, cheating, thieving little bastard. He and his cabinet had systematically tossed away our rights and 'played' the people for fools to benefit themselves. The ignored warnings about 9/11 so they could use it as an excuse to engage in a war with a country that was no threat to us. They use fear to keep people from questioning their motives. They take away our rights under the banner of 'protecting us from terrorism' and they call into question anyones patriotism who dares to bring their falsities to the forefront.
If that's not reason enough to hate Bush, what is?

America... just a nation of two hundred million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns and no qualms about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable.

I think the worst terror osama or whoever could infict upon the US would be to influence the election enough to get bush re-elected. I agree with bombastique that there are many legitimate reasons that bush should be hated and I'd like to believe that most people hate him for these reasons and not just to be fashionable.
