Then the next night, he played a show. That just blew me away, not that he died, but that there was noone in his entourage that didn't find a replacement or get him into rehab or something. The music industry is fucking sick.

it botheres me that there is such a stereotype of guns with hiphop.
firstofall, to assume that the hiphop scene is anything like what Mtv tells you it is, it is to assume that the us government is as great as fox makes it seem.
in other words bullshit.

well, it's certainly not far beyond driven.andyg666 wrote:this whole thing is far beyond the worst ever...
seriously though. Guns are, like every tool, dangerous in the hands of the unstable. Yeah, if he didn't have access to a gun, perhaps he would have used something else. You can't deny, though, that causing damage with a gun is incredibly easy.
oh, if only people were responsible. and courteous. and all our fathers had the $$ to buy us preamps

(neither God nor guns are doing us any favors here)
Re: Dimebag Darell shot dead....
The morning paper says the 25 year old shooter was an ex-marine, and that marine officials "declined to release any details about his service".

Re: Dimebag Darell shot dead....
He was in Iraq a year ago, or so they said on the news last night. This is sick, twisted shit. RIP Dimebag.
Re: Dimebag Darell shot dead....
There's alot of ex-servicemen who do this kind of shit, wonder why that is??tkheadroom wrote:He was in Iraq a year ago, or so they said on the news last night.

Yes, I wonder why that ever happens. I think the war zone becomes a place in their brains, rather than our country or theirs. It's just a guess.joeysimms wrote:There's alot of ex-servicemen who do this kind of shit, wonder why that is??tkheadroom wrote:He was in Iraq a year ago, or so they said on the news last night.
Re: Dimebag Darell shot dead....
Yeah that is sad, but how would shooting a celebrity influence the government? The Uni-Bomber bombed a government building this guy just shot a guitar legend. What kind of message if any was this guy trying to send?

Yup. There's ex-military running rampant through the streets blowing people away randomly all the time. You can hardly go several years without hearing about at least one.joeysimms wrote:There's alot of ex-servicemen who do this kind of shit, wonder why that is??tkheadroom wrote:He was in Iraq a year ago, or so they said on the news last night.

Re: Dimebag Darell shot dead....
Pantera started as a hair/spandex band didn't they?
It's sad that it happened, just makes thing worse when it's done in a venue, now there will be more security at shows in more bars and clubs. More excuses for bouncers to get rough with poeple, and less people wanting to go see bands live.
