I was born on Abraham Lincoln's birthday (actual, not observed). It was a few years after he was born, of course....

Being a distant relative of the Winsors, and thus the Queen, I have at least two birthdays per year. Which is nice. Yes - one public and one official. Local people are permitted to hold street parties on the former date.

No, no - it's not yet. I'll tell you a week or two in advance Phil, so you can get the trestle tables and bunting on the go. As for biting, well y'know. I'm sorry but members of the public aren't permitted to bite Royalty. So yeah. I dunno. We're weird like that over here.

Cinco De Mayo. I didn't even know it was a major Mexican holiday until a few years ago, when Corona's US importer decided to turn it into a Mexican St. Patty's day. Shame about that, 'cause I used to like to go out for Mexican on my birthday. The places are too mobbed now, so it's Indian or Thai.

Leave it to Mexico to have a holiday celebrating Mayonnaise
