The post in your accent thread
I realised I'm not getting any sense whatsoever of everyone's accent (American people, I mean), so please post some stuff using spellings that bring out your accents. That way I can get the full exoticism of it all, and make-believe I'm in Oaklahoma/Texas/NY/California - I dunno. All those nutty places.

Re: The post in your accent thread
Being a native Virginian, I tend to put "y'all" after a lot of sentences, y'all. I'm told the word finally made it into Webster's Dictionary. 'Bout time.

A lot of the people from my way talk very fast, i'm a little bit more posh nowadays, i can slip back into it easy when i'm back home, but if you are not more articulate around others, there is no fuckn way you would understand it, one of my friends calls it a 'bricks N' sticks rabble'..

Re: The post in your accent thread
Both look pretty close to home!! Jeetyet is sooo Stoke. Although there'd probably no second 't' sound. I know, I know - but that's just how it is. As for chips - well, they're a staple. Must admit I'm surprised anyone in America calls 'em that.helstab wrote: jeetyet- Did you eat yet?
