Why I Hate The "D.Funk" Message Threads

Ummm... I guess I don't really, I think they're a very unifying force around here. A good thing.

Unifying perhaps, but wouldn't simply ignoring his posts send the same message to him? Ganging up on him to thrash his blatent, insensitive self-promoting posts may be a viable option.

Then again, why should we stoop to his level of stupidity by verbally tossing him in the fire?

I saw a poigniant .jpg recently that showed a retarded kid running on a track and the text caption said: Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics, even if you win you're still retarded.

I kinda wish there had only been one response to the original post. Something like:

"Please move your post to the "Studio Listings" Forum. Thanks."

Maybe I'm just a party pooper, but I shudder to think about how much time was burnt up on all the back and forth.

That's not poignant, that's rude, insensitive, ignorant and offensive. And I'm not trying to argue with you. :?

It's totally insensitive to the mentally challenged, but its message is no less true of people that argue on the internet, you have to admit.

Would it be ridiculous to say, that the internet/digital transfer of communication has become such a widely used format of communication that arguing via internet is the same as arguing on the phone, via letter, or in person??? i don't understand. Arguing is still arguing... it happens.

I found that to be highly offensive and downright cruel. Shame. There are far more effective means of making a point than to appropriate the image of a person who likely is not in a position to defend himself. Real classy.

Yeah, give people who argue on the internet a break. It's not their fault that they were born that way!

exactly. if everyone would have just ignored him, he would have made his 4 posts and moved onto another recording forum. now he's moving on and spreading the notion that tape op is full of mean-spirited hooligans...i love mean-spirited hooligans...and i don't really care if lenny kravitz thinks tape op is for losers...(unless he happens to think dfunk is as big a schmuck as we do.)...and i sure as hell don't want to attract others like dfunk, but we DO represent the tape op community. and it's our duty to keep the name clean.

and boobs.

I should've prefaced my first post in this thead with a little more weight.

I am in no way condoning the distasteful use of a mentally challenged person. I apologize to anyone I might've offended.

All I know is this: I feel much closer to you all after having gone through that. Thank you brothers (and any sisters who haven't left in disgust already)!
