Wal-Mart distortion pedal??

Okay so this might belong on the "General Recording" board, but it's too hysterical to really merit any serious replies so I figured an off-topic post would work best.

I was at practice the other night and saw what was truly the most horrific looking pedal on the ground. It was made of bright orange plastic and looked like it wouldn't last more than a week of usage. There was no brand on it, but my drummer explained that it was purchased at Wal-Mart for $20.00. I didn't have enough time to play with it, but he said it sounds about as exciting as a Wal-Mart distortion would sound.

Anyone heard of this? Anyone tried one? Anyone (gasp) like them?

And yet people think that Aliens are so much more highly evolved. Maybe their ships are just URVs (unidentified recreational vechicles)? That really would be such a disappointment to me.

I've seen this pedal at my local Wally World. I actually picked it up and considered buying it. Then I looked around and realized where I was. It was just too weird.
They've got some pretty sweet guitars at Walmart too. It's cool. Over the Holidays, I even saw some flutes and trumpets. Lovely.

BTW, I'm going to check it out a little further at practice tonight. If it still works.
