tapeoppers and their avatars

Post by ubertar » Fri Jun 11, 2004 9:37 am

Is there anyone else who can't help but associate a person with their avatar, especially if the avatar is a person? I always think of scodiddly as looking like Tom Waits, for example. I hope no one pictures me as bush. Chimps are ok though.

Yeah, I think I do subconsciously associate the avatar with the person. BobbyDJ looks like a disgruntled adolescent, in my mind, thanks to the avatar. Phalex, looks like, well, like he probably really does, since his avatar seems to be homebrew. Leopold is a horny, gay latino.
Me? I really do dress up as Space Ghost, so the avatar isn't too far of a stretch from the reallife mjau.

That picture is a picture of me when I first saw a naked breast.

When I see your avatar JCA83, I see a keytaur with legs. In a good way.

ubertar, could 'ya please narrow that up a bit? It pushes the text of every thread you post to way the heck over.

Though I appreciate the sentiment.

Not knowing what Brian Wilson looked like I thought that was AstroDan... and for a while I thought TigerVomit was really that dude with the curly hair. Oh and Shawn1537534, I'd thought that was him for the longest time before i realized 'wait a minute'

Also in real life i'm a phallic pretzel stick.
