they exist. since fender bought them out, you have to go to a fender dealer and have them scrounge through book after book looking for the right ones. it helps if you know as much as possible what you're looking for, or if you have one or two of the originals, because sometimes what it says in the book isn't what you're actually looking for.
i have an ancient starfire that i bought new knobs for. it's a pain, but it can be done, and it looks super-cool when you get 'em!
