Best new group you've found or been turned on to lately...

Post by Monkeyfist » Tue Jul 20, 2004 1:05 pm

I just got a copy of Porterhouse Quintets: Thumbs Up Little Buddy.
They are as Bear would say Wangtacular! Blazing tight funk and groove. If you get a chance check em' out!

I just started listening to this band called Ruma Sakit. Crazy insturmental rock. They make my eyes bleed and wiener shoot fire... In a good way.

Relistening to Bowie again, i.e. Hunky Dory and Heroes. Glorious. Also T. Rex's Electric Warrior. I knew it was something from "Mambo Sun"...

Arbouretum

I saw them open for Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and bought the CD that night. I haven't bought the opening band's CD in years.

I can't remember the last time I bought the opener CD. I should do that more often just on principal. Unless they totally blow ass of course.

It's been out for a while and quite obvious, but the Franz Ferdinand stuff is sounding pretty cool to me.
